You can copy subfolders from a location that is not being synced into a Syncplicity folder, and it will sync the subfolders.
You should NOT move, rename, or copy folders from a shared folder where you have editor rights. This will cause all others with that share to get their folder layout changed as well - and will likely fail to complete if there is a lot of data in the folders or someone else is updating a file in one of the folders. As an editor you are obligated to retain the folder structure the owner of the folder has shared with you.
