How to change the user account on a MAC

I am unable to "delete" my work account on my iMac and set up a personal account. I followed the previous post with directions, however cannot locate the file in the library folder to delete.

1. Quit Syncplicity: Click on the Syncplicity icon on the menu bar, and then select 'Quit'     2. Drag Syncplicity from the Applications folder to the Trash     3. Drag the file /Users/[USERID]/Library/Preferences/com.syncplicity.syncplicity.plist (where [USERID] is your account ID) to the Trash     4. Restart your Mac
