DLP/AV Connector 2.0

  • Introduced support for a new Anti Virus Scan feature. The AntiVirus Scanning (AVS) feature in Syncplicity allows you to connect Syncplicity to an AVS Engine for scanning of new or historical files and the subsequent control of actions within Syncplicity. Currently the use of the AVS feature requires a company-specific StorageVault with an ICAP AVS engine configured in an on-premise location or in a private cloud. See our documentation for configuration details.

Storage Connector 3.3.2

DLP Connector 1.2.0

  • Introduced support for a new feature offering to enable customers to transfer only a part of the whole document to the DLP engine for scanning in order to perform the DLP classification of this document.
  • Added a new configuration parameter “syncplicity.das.dlp.icap.client.maxContentLengthToScan” to provide the option to specify the maximum size of the document content that is sent to the DLP engine, regardless of the total size of the document.
  • Added support for CentOS 7.6. The underlying CentOS operating system in the OVA distribution of the DLP Connector has been upgraded to CentOS 7.6.

WOPI Connector 1.4.0

  • Introduced support for a new feature offering called Customer Managed Keys, which integrates the WOPI Connector with an on-premises HSM (Hardware Security Module) to enable customers to manage the encryption keys used to encrypt their Syncplicity files in their on-premises StorageVault. In this release, we have verified compatibility with Thales nShield Connect XC and Gemalto SafeNet Luna Network HSM 7. Contact Syncplicity Support if you are interested in further information about this new feature.
  • For enhanced security, we have increased the length of the default Syncplicity encryption keys from 128-bits to 256-bits. Files uploaded from Microsoft Office Online or Office for mobile will be encrypted with this enhanced encryption key length, starting with this release.
  • Applied the Linux kernel patches to address the Meltdown and Spectre vulnerabilities as reported under CVE-2017-5753, CVE-2017-5715 and CVE-2017-5754. For more details see:
