Finder extension on Macintosh does not display after installation

On some versions of Mac OS, the Syncplicity Finder extension might not appear immediately after installation. The Finder extension lets you right-click (or Control-click) a file or folder and access Syncplicity functionality in the contextual menu that displays.

Most of the time, this problem is caused by a conflict with the Finder extension of another tool such as Dropbox or Google Drive. However, there are other Apple issues that can cause similar behavior.

The fix for this is simple: either log out of your computer account and log back in again, or restart your Mac. There is no need to exit the Syncplicity application.
