Desktop sycning of empty folders

Hi there, i was wondering if there is a setting i can set to have empty folder paths be synced using the desktop app. Currently no desktop folders that contain a file are recreated on users folder structure unless files exists in that path. I have read your blog which describes running a power shell script, which unfortunately doesn't work for our application.
