The iPad Syncplicity client will open a file into any application that's registered to handle that file type. You get other apps to open files through the Open In choice available in the view of folder contents. For the file you want to Open In somewhere, tap the three dots at the far right of the line where the file is shown, then tap Open In. A scrollable list of all the apps on your iPad that can use that type of file are listed, and you choose one of them by tapping on it.
