Syncplicity allows developers to create apps for provisioning users and groups, and configuring policies at scale in their Syncplicity Enterprise Edition (EE) accounts.
Syncplicity offers a developer portal for Enterprise Edition (EE) account users to create new apps using our APIs, test our APIs using interactive documentation, and deploy those apps to provision users, groups and policies.
Developers can perform the following using the APIs:
- Users: Key functionalities that be achieved using the APIs for users are
- Create users
- Delete users
- Update users
- Get multiple Users
- Groups: Key functionalities that be achieved using the APIs for groups are
- Create groups
- Get groups
- Get users in group
- Update groups
- Delete groups
- Users and Groups: Key functionalities that be achieved using the APIs for interaction between users and groups are
- Add members to a group
- Get members of a group
- Delete members of a group
- Policy Sets: Key functionalities that be achieved using the APIs for Policy Sets are
- Create a policyset
- Get policyset by ID
- Update a policyset
- Delete a policyset

The Docs section in our developer portal will help you to get started. We have also added some sample apps in the developer portal. In addition, we have interactive documentation in the developer portal that help you to run the APIs interactively or use the command line, and test the APIs in sandbox before you actually deploy them to Apps. You need to submit your apps for review by the Syncplicity API review board before deploying them on production.
APIs are a great way to create users and groups at scale and importing users and groups quickly from your active directory. Please refer to the other articles if you don’t want to use APIs and want to use our web interface to create or update users, groups or policysets.
