- IT administrators have the ability configure group-based policies to suppress some or all of the first time setup screens normally displayed during installation of the Windows and Mac desktop clients
- For machines that are joined to the corporate domain, users will be automatically logged in to the Syncplicity desktop client
- Group-based policies can also be used to control the default location where folders are synced

Send Files from your desktop as Shared Links
|
- Use Syncplicity for Outlook to send large files, including those above Exchange server limits
- Seamlessly integrates into existing user workflows by attaching files through the native Outlook attach function or just drag-and-drop
- Users can also attach files through the Syncplicity ribbon in Outlook’s compose window
- All attached files sent through Syncplicity for Outlook appear as Shared Links in the recipient’s email. Recipients can access the Shared Links through any email client and are not required to have Syncplicity for Outlook

Send Files from your Syncplicity account as Shared Links

- Use Syncplicity for Outlook to send multiple files from any folder in your Syncplicity account as Shared Links, without downloading them
|
Send Folders from your desktop as Shared Links
|
- Use Syncplicity for Outlook to send folders from your desktop. Folders are automatically zipped and sent as Shared Links

Apply Security to your Shared Links
|
- IT administrators and end users can protect the Shared Links sent through Syncplicity for Outlook using group-based policies
- Restrict access only to users within the company account or intended recipients
- Enforce password protection and password rules
- Specify the Shared Link expiration period in days
- Restrict the file types that can be sent

Manage files sent using Syncplicity for Outlook from the web
|
- Users can go to the web to view all files sent using Syncplicity for Outlook inside the “Email Attachments” folder
- Users can re-share email attachment files
- Users can delete email attachment files, which will disable all corresponding Shared Links
|
Manage Syncplicity for Outlook through group-based policies
|
- For Business Edition, Department Edition and Enterprise Edition users, IT administrators can control group-level access using the Syncplicity for Outlook Policy (under Policies > Desktop Clients & Add-ins > Configuration). By default access is disabled
- IT administrators can also use the Syncplicity for Outlook File Size Policy to specify a file size limit above which files will always be sent using Syncplicity for Outlook
