File is too large for a drive

Drive space download error messages

  • A drive is full or low on disk space
  • Not enough local disk space available, or
  • Not enough local disk space available to sync <filename>.

Applicable systems: Desktop clients


Your local disk is full or nearly full. You must free up space before you can download more files. This also can happen if someone uploads a giant file to Syncplicity and you are sharing that file or folder. For example, another user uploads a 50 gigabyte file and you have only a 30 GB of free space on your local drive.

Possible remedies

Free up more space on your local system by deleting temporary files or uninstalling unused applications.
