File locking on iPhone

Users of the My Syncplicity online file browser and Syncplicity desktop clients can lock files for up to two hours to prevent you or others from making changes. Locks are effective until they expire or the user who locked the files rescinds the locks. When browsing files on your device, a lock icon is displayed by the file name to alert you of a locked file. An example is shown in the following graphic.

When you open a locked file, a message is displayed informing you of the name of the user who has locked the file and how long the lock is effective. If you choose to continue, the file opens in read-only mode.

You cannot lock files in the iPhone app. You can only lock files in My Syncplicity or a desktop client.
